Lehmden Anton

The painter and graphic artist Anton Lehmden came to Vienna in 1945, where he studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts with Albert Paris Gütersloh. In 1962 he received a teaching assignment in Istanbul and from 1971 to 1999 he was professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.

Lehmden belongs to the group of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, his technique is trained on old masters. Frequent themes of his paintings are war events, natural disasters and landscapes.

Since 1966 the artist has lived in the Renaissance castle Deutschkreutz in Burgenland.
