Josef Mühlbacher, who lives in Vienna, is a painter, draughtsman and copperplate printer.

His paintings and drawings are influenced by realism. Preferred subjects of the artist are Viennese city views, as well as special viewpoints from them, such as façade details, courtyards or staircases. Furthermore, Josef Mühlbacher has specialized in the female nude in a very aesthetic form of expression.

He completed his training as a copperplate printer with Walter Fischer. He also worked with Kurt Zein before opening his own printing workshop.
